Biological activator (Bioamino-L) on Santina/MaxMa14 Cherry Trees. Palquibudi, Rauco. Maule Region. Chile.
2020/21 Season. INNOVAFRUT.
The trial was carried out by INNOVAFRUT, which goal was to assess the effect of Bioamino-L applications on cherry trees.
Two strategies of dosage in pre- and post-harvest were tested (50/20 L/ha and 60/20 L/ha, respectively) against a control with no applications.
Results for Bioamino-L show a powerful root formation (new and active roots), an increase in fruit dry matter, a size curve shifted towards the largest sizes, better firmness and more soluble solids both at harvest and post-harvest (28 days), fewer fruit defects and a higher percentage for export. As regards biological parameters and soil quality, Bioamino-L shows better oxygenation, higher organic matter, better health and a greater number of microorganisms in soil
Trial results show how Bioamino-L, by activating soil life and strongly enhancing root development, achieves positive effects on final fruit quality and size distribution, as well as improving soil quality which makes sustainable productions posible over time, placing Bioamino-L as an interesting strategy to be applied in cherry trees during pre-harvest and post-harvest.
